Boswellia serrata

5-LOXIN combines a designed, targeted action with a significant dose of AKBA - the most potential Boswellic acid.

While used historically for millenia, ordinary Boswellia serrata resin extracts have been studied in humans to benefit joint and musculoskeletal health, respiratory health and digestive health since 1986. The source of these beneficial actions of Boswellia extracts is a group of triterpene acids (boswellic acids), isolated from the gum resin.

These compounds exert a therapeutic activity by helping modulate 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX), a key enzyme involved in the conversion of acid to the inflammatory mediators, leukotrienes. Boswellia extracts have a long history of use, and do not provoke gastrointestinal irritation.

5-LOXIN is a safe, and selective 5-Lipoxygenase (5-LOX) modulator - meaning 5-LOXIN helps regulate the 5-LOX enzyme. In addition, 5-Loxin also modulate other pro-inflammatory biomarker proteins , that compromise "comfort and flexibility" in the body to their normal ranges, supporting joint health, function and mobility. Applying modern science to traditional knowledge was the base for identification of the most powerful Boswellia compound, AKBA.

Boswellia serrata is a tree producing a highly scented sap that has been prized healing substance since ancient times. It preserves healthy muscle & joint mobility, supports normal inflammation processes, and helps maintains fit connective tissue. Of the active compounds in Boswellia extracts, AKBA (Acetyl-11-keto-beta boswellic acid) has been identified as the most powerful. AKBA demonstrates the most pronounced inhibitory activity against 5-LOX, thus supporting joint function and mobility. AKBA is also shown to be a selective, targeted 5-LOX inhibitor, which is unique among the boswellic acids.
